CAD

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Hi GUYS!

Not long time back building designs & drawings was a pain in
the neck by the hand using the conventional pen and paper on a
drafting table. This soon changed with the advent of the desktop
computer, which gave rise to Computer Aided Design (CAD)
drafting allowing designs & drawings to be created on a PC and
printed electronically. Changes could be made in a jiffy without
having to redo the whole drawing, which was earlier a tiresome
process.

Now with CAD in picture, which is known as
Computer-aided design, you need not fear about
many of your drawings that are lost or destroyed, there is a
booming service industry, which is at your doorstep to create
computerized CAD drawings & designs in 2 Dimension & 3 Dimension
of existing buildings.

CAD can be utilized for architectural as well as mechanical
services. CAD is a hardware & software combination that caters
to architects, engineers and consultants in the real estate &
manufacturing industry globally.

CAD can be used for 2D drafting, 3D modeling,
animations
, interactive presentations, data
managements, 2D – 3D CAD modeling & animation, architectural
CAD, mechanical CAD, drafting and design, 2D 3D graphics, paper
to CAD conversions, structural CAD drawings, 3D visualization.

In Mechanical CAD services it can be utilized for 2D Drafting,
3D modeling, 3D assembly, 2D – 3D sectional views.

The best way to have a good idea of CAD is by having a visit at
this URL (www.bluentcad.com/index.shtml). This one gives you
some idea of the services which can be offered by CAD.

I hope the above information, which I have shared with you, is
going to be resourceful.

Thanx

MPEG encoder for burning DVDs

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

MPEG, or Moving Picture Experts Group, is a jointly working
group comprised of the International Standards Organization and
International Electro-Technical Commission (ISO/IEC) to
standardize the coding of moving pictures and the associated
audio in a digital compressed format.

MPEG-2 uses very sophisticated compression techniques to
compress audio and video in order for it to be burned on a DVD.
You can purchase and download hardware and software MPEG
Encoders to burn a DVD.

MPEG-2 is the process needed to encode video and audio
information for a DVD burner, by burning the information onto a
DVD disc with time stamps. The process of an MPEG encoder for
burning DVDs is done using codec\’s to encode the video and audio
and save it in smaller pieces to be transformed into a frequency
space and then quantized.

MPEG-3 is one of the discontinued encoding processes for
digital media, and is often confused for MPEG-1 (what we know as
MP3). MP3 encoding has quickly become the standard for
digitizing music around the world, and listening to it on your
computer, laptop or personal MP3 Player. Most people burn mp3
songs to CDROMS, however for digital archiving, some people burn
the files to DVD as well.

To burn a DVD, you need a DVD burner, an MPEG Encoder, a blank
DVD-R (recordable) disc and the audio and video that you wish to
burn onto the DVD-R.

MPEG Encoders can be bought as hardware or software and
downloaded to transform and compress your audio and video file
into MPEG format so that it can be burned onto a DVD using a DVD
Burner. The process itself is quite complex and took a team of
specialists to perfect. However, the process is streamlined
where you as the end user are only expected to follow short,
simple commands by the software to burn your encoded data.

You can search the internet for a suitable MPEG encoder and
also for a DVD burner that will best suit your needs. Your local
computer shopping store will also have a variety of DVD burners
with some expert advice on which products will best work for
what information you are looking to encode and burn.

And lastly, when in doubt about which MPEG compression
algorithm to use to encode your data, \”google\” it. Chances are
that you are not the only person who has had a question
regarding MPEG encoding and DVD Burning. By doing your research
early, you can ensure your next burn will go smoothly!

Getting The Most Out Of A Tablet PC

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

What is a tablet PC, how is it different from a laptop and is it
the right computer for you? To find the answer to these
questions lets take a look at tablet PC\’s and how they work.

Tablet PC\’s were originally designed to put mobile computers in
the hand of people working in the field. The people using them
spent the majority of their time away from a desk and wouldn\’t
have access to a keyboard or mouse. Users would make entries via
stylus or digitizer. The lightweight and highly portable nature
of these types of computers made them perfectly suited to field
technicians and health care workers. These original models are
known as slate tablets do to their distinctive one piece design.
The entire computer screen and all was encased in one small
unit, usually weighing 4 pounds or less. All of the units came
with ports for connecting an optional keyboard, mouse, CD/DVD
drive, printer, monitor or other computer peripherals. By
choosing not to include all of these peripherals computer
manufacturers were able to shave off pounds and lengthen the
battery life considerably.

Many people were attracted to these new tablet PC\’s but still
wanted a traditional keyboard setup. Manufacturers responded to
consumers demand and the convertible tablet PC was born. A
convertible tablet PC looks very much like a small notebook
computer. Aside from the monitor it functions exactly like a
traditional laptop computer. The monitor is attached on special
hinge that allows the monitor to swivel, making it an extremely
powerful tool for small customer presentations and
demonstrations. The monitor is also capable of swiveling
completely around and lying on top of the keyboard with its
screen facing up. This gives it the appearance of the
traditional slate tablet PC. Convertible tablet PC\’s
traditionally have a larger viewing screen, larger hard drive,
larger battery, and other accessories. These extras make it a
much more powerful computing platform, but they also make it
heavier and more expensive.

Is a tablet PC the right PC for you? The real question is how
portable does you\’re computing lifestyle have to be? Do you
spend a lot of time outside of a traditional office environment?
Do you need to use a computer to record or makes notes while
you\’re walking, or moving from place to place, if so a tablet PC
is the perfect choice for you? For salespeople or business men
who spend a lot of time traveling a convertible tablet is
probably a much better option. It gives them more power, and
more features, with a more traditional computer setup.
